Calculate Inductance of the Two-Wire Line (3/3)

Inductance is calculated via flux linkage

The same result can be obtained using the energy of magnetic field.

Return to the starting page of inductance wizard and walk through the sequence of pages

Mechanical force acting to the wire (1/2)

The mechanical force is calculated as a flux of Maxwell stress tensor trough a closed surface. To start integration the contour is need.

Mechanical force acting to the wire (2/2)

Integration contour defines the closed surface.

Only X-component of the force makes sense.

The Y-component vanishes due to symmetry.
