Общая тенденция, которая была выявлена при проведение экономико-статистических исследований, заключается в том, что развитие стриминговых сервисов будет продолжаться в ближайшем будущем. Из полученных данных и прогнозов может показаться, что стриминг «убежит» далеко вперед от студий. Однако, как уже было сказано выше, все главные киностудии США уже либо создали, либо собираются создать собственные стриминговые платформы, что означает, что студийная часть киноиндустрии станет частью всеобщего развития стримингового продвижения кино и сериалов, что положительно скажется на прибыле киностудий. Несмотря на это, вопрос относительно посещаемости кинотеатров и их релевантности в системе дистрибуции кино остается открытым.
